I Do Not Fear

Dear God, because of Joshua 1:9 which says, "Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." I see myself as a strong, vigorous and very courageous person. I am not afraid or dismayed because I know that you are with me.

And because of 2 Tim. 1:7 which says, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. I see myself as strong, without a spirit of timidity. I know that you have given me a spirit of power and a spirit of love. I have a calm and well-balanced mind. And I am a person that is disciplined and I practice self-control.

And because of Eph. 6:10 which says, "In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]." I see myself as strong in You because I am empowered by my union with You. I draw my strength from You and from Your Word. You provide me with the strength from your boundless might.

And because of Ps. 91:7 which says, "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you." I see a thousand falling at my side, and ten thousand falling at my right hand. The enemy can not come near me.

And because of Ps. 91:8 which says, "Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked." I see myself as merely a spectator because I am inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High. And I witness the reward of the wicked.

And because of Ps. 91:9 which says, "Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place." I see myself as making the Lord my refuge, and my Most High. And my dwelling place is in your Word.

And because of Ps. 91:10 which says, "There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent." I see no evil can befall me, nor any plague or calamity come near my home.

And because of Ps. 91:10 which says, "For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]." I see that You have given your angels special charge over me, and they accompany me and they defend me in all my ways of obedience and service in your kingdom.

And because of Ps. 27:1 which says, "THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?" I see You, Lord, as my Light and my Salvation, so I can not fear or dread. I have made You my refuge and my Stronghold of my life. There is nobody else I can be afraid of.

And because of Ps. 27:2 which says, "When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell." I see my enemies and my foes when they try to come upon me to hurt me, they stumble and fall.

And because of Ps. 27:3 which says, "Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident." I know that when my enemies try and encamp around me, my heart does not fear. And when a war breaks out, even in this will I be confident in You, and I do not fear.

And because of Ps. 27:4 which says, "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple." I continually dwell in Your house, O Lord (in Your Word), all the days of my life. I do that so that I may behold you and gaze at Your beauty, Your sweet attractiveness and Your delightful loveliness. And I do it so that I can meditate, consider and inquire of You as You live inside of me.

And because of Ps. 27:5 which says, "For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock." I know that in my time of trouble, You hide me in Your shelter (Your Word), in the secret place of Your favor will do You hide me. And You set me high above, on a safe and sure foundation, where I can never be moved.

And because of Ps. 27:3 which says, "And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord." I know that my head is lifted up above my enemies even though they may be all around me. In Your presence will I offer sacrifices of love and shouts for joy! Praise God!

And because of Ps. 91:6 which says, "I am not afraid of the terror by night, nor the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.  No evil will befall me neither any plague will come near my dwelling place, for God’s angels have charge over me, to keep me in all my ways." I do not fear when catastrophic things happen around me. My undying faith in You, oh Lord, keeps my heart at rest, and I believe your angels are protecting me wherever I go.
