Belief No. 9 Verses

Belief No.9 - Based on the following scriptures, I believe I have received the items I pray for before I see them.

This belief sounds a bit strange when you first hear it, but it actually is an important belief in bringing peace in our hearts. Instead of continuously praying the same prayer of request, waiting and wondering when God is going to move on your behalf, you pray one sincere Bible-based prayer stating to God what you want and why you feel He should grant it (based on His Word), and then leave the problem in God's hands to solve in His good time and in a way that is best for you. However, what you may want to do after you've prayed that initial prayer instead is this: Offer up prayers of thanksgiving to God, thanking Him for hearing your original prayer, and thanking Him for being a God who honors His Word and makes good His promises given to us in the Bible. And all the while remaining in a state of peace as you stay 'expectant'.

Speaking about 'staying expectant', people often comment that a mother-to-be has a glow about them. Perhaps it is this 'expectancy' that is producing the glow. She is expecting great things to happen as she aims herself at bringing a new life into the world. In the same way, we need to have a heart of expectancy as we expect to see God answer our prayer. We can use our imagination to picture ourselves having the thing we want from God. We can talk to our friends about what we are expecting to receive. There is power in seeing things through the eye of faith, and talking about what we are aiming to receive.

Mark 11:23-24 - "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

1 John 5:14-15 - “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him”.

Mat 7:7-11 "Ask, and it will be given to you; For everyone who asks receives."

Rom 4:16-17 - Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring-not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed-the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

How do we receive from God:

1) We pray the prayer of what we want.

2) We thank God in advance for the thing we are expecting to receive.

3) We 'see' ourselves enjoying the thing we have asked for, using our imagination.

4) We speak to others what we are expecting God to give us.

5) We stay away from negative people who want to tell us that we won't receive what we want from God.

6) Keep acting on your faith. Prove to God by your actions, that you believe He will give you what you want.

7) Stay positive, avoid wavering. Wavering produces doubt and doubt feeds fear, and consequently takes our peace away.
