For a Non-Christian

The most important verse in the Bible for a non-Christian, I feel, is John 3:16.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Here we plainly see God's will for all mankind, and that is to be saved from 'perishing' and be welcomed into everlasting life. The message is so easy a child could grasp it. Christians all over the world esteem the Lord Jesus Christ for the willing sacrifice of His own life, so that people everywhere can partake of His divine work of cleansing people's hearts of all their sin. And then also, for allowing the Holy Spirit to come in and guide the person throughout the rest of their lives, if they are willing and obedient to His call. "We praise you, Jesus, for showing us the way to victory and abundant living!"

For a Christian

The most important verse in the Bible for a Christian, I feel, is John 1:14.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

Here we see that Jesus is the Word of God in bodily form. This truth is vitally important to a Christian because it shows us the importance of the Word of God. So many people get introduced to the beautiful message of Jesus Christ and then are never taught the importance of studying, and using the Word of God to help them change their negative mindsets (which we all have). It is sad to see, but on average only 5-10% of the churches actually teach the message of living their life by faith, as taught in the scriptures. The kind of faith that gives you confidence in any situation. If you are a believer, may I admonish you to develop a love for God's Word and a respect for Satan, who tries, continually, to upset our lives and even trick us into taking our own lives. So, get into God's Word and apply it to all of the area's of weakness in your life, and start living!
