Belief No. 6 Verses

Belief No.6 - Based on the following scriptures, I believe God wants me to enjoy perfect peace at all times, and to never again be plagued by fear of any kind.

Scriptures Related To Peace

Psalm 4:8 - I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 29:11 - The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.

Psalm 37:11 - But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.

Psalm 37:37 - Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace.

Psalm 85:8 - I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints--but let them not return to folly.

Psalm 125:1 - Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.

Psalm 133:1 - How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!

Prov. 3:17 - Her (Godly wisdom) ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.

Prov. 3:23-24 - Then you will walk in your way securely and in confident trust, and you shall not dash your foot or stumble. 24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Prov. 10:23 - It is sport to a fool to do wickedness, but to have skillful and godly Wisdom is pleasure and relaxation to a man of understanding.

Prov. 12:20 - There is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace.

Prov. 16:7 - When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

Prov. 20:3 - It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.

Isaiah 26:3 - You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

Isaiah 32:17 - The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

Isaiah 32:18 - My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Isaiah 48:18 - If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Isaiah 53:5 - But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 54:10 - Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:13 - All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children's peace.

Isaiah 55:12 - You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Isaiah 57:2 - Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:19 - creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near," says the LORD. "And I will heal them."

Jeremiah 33:6 - "'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

Hag. 2:9 - 'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty."

Zec. 8:19 - This is what the LORD Almighty says: "The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth and peace."

Mal. 2:5 - "My covenant was with him, a covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him; this called for reverence and he revered me and stood in awe of my name.

Matt. 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Mark 9:50 - "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other."

Luke 1:79 - to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace."

Luke 2:14 - "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John16:33 - "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

John20:19 - On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"

Acts 10:36 - You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

Rom. 2:10 - but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Rom. 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Rom. 8:6 - The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;

Rom. 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

Rom. 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Cor. 1:3 - Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Cor. 14:33 - For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints,

2 Cor. 1:2 - Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Cor. 13:11 - Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Gal. 1:3 - Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

Gal. 5:22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Eph. 2:14,15 - For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace,

Eph. 2:16,17 - and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

Eph. 4:3 - Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Eph. 4:9 - Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Philipians 4:6-9
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."

Col 1:20 - and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Col. 3:15 - Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

1 Thes. 1:1 - Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.

1 Thes. 5:13 - Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.

2 Thes. 3:16 - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

2 Tim. 2:22 - Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Phil. 1:3 - Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb. 12:14 - Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Jam. 3:17 - But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Jam. 3:18 - Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

1Pet. 3:10,11 - For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. 11 He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it."

 

Scriptures Related To Freedom From Fear
Gen. 26:24 - "And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake."

Deut. 1:21 - "Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged."

Deut. 31:6 - "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

Deut. 31:8 - "And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."

Joshua 8:1 - Then the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land.

Joshua 10:1-18 - After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' aide: 2 "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to
cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them-to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates-all the Hittite country-to the Great Sea on the west. 5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
6 "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
10 So Joshua ordered the officers of the people: 11 "Go through the camp and tell the people, 'Get your supplies ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.' "
12 But to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said, 13 "Remember the command that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: 'The LORD your God is giving you rest and has granted you this land.' 14 Your wives, your children and your livestock may stay in the land that Moses gave you east of the Jordan, but all your fighting men, fully armed, must cross over ahead of your brothers. You are to help your brothers 15 until the LORD gives them rest, as he has done for you, and until they too have taken possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving them. After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise."
16 Then they answered Joshua, "Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. 17 Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you. Only may the LORD your God be with you as he was with Moses. 18 Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey your words, whatever you may command them, will be put to death. Only be strong and courageous!"

1 Chron. 22:13 - Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the LORD gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.

1 Chron. 28:20 - "And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD."

2 Chron. 20:15 - He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.

2 Chron. 20:17 - You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.' "

2 Chron. 25:8 - Even if you go and fight courageously in battle, God will overthrow you before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to overthrow."

2 Chron. 32:7 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.

Ezra 7:28 - Because the hand of the LORD my God was on me, I took courage...

Psalm 23:1-6 - The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalm 27:1 - "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

Psalm 91:5-7 - "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee."

Psalm 118:6 - "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?"

Prov. 3:25 - Be not afraid of sudden terror and panic, nor of the stormy blast or the storm and ruin of the wicked when it comes.

Proverbs 29:25 - "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."

Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Isaiah 41:13 - "For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."

Isaiah 43:1-2 - "But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

Matt. 6:34 - So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow,

2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Hebrews 13:6 - "So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
